Miracles happen everyday, you just need to know where to look for them. Uncover your eyes which has been so long been shielded by ignorance and indifference and you’ll see a whole different world. One where not everything is rose-colored, but a continuous spectrum of shades and hues. From the pitch dark black of a poverty stricken eyes, the red staining wine of the rich and famous, the envious green of the less fortunate, the rosy pink cheeks of a new born, the deceitful blue of an ocean, or the vibrant yellow of the powerful sun.
We are all so busy in our careless minds we forget to slow down. The fast track pace of the the life to success has often times stunted our heart, sure it still beats, but less of an organ and more of a mechanical pulse, beep beep. The bad is always seen as the worse or irreprehensible and mercilessly sensationalized, while the good is often ridiculed and suspect. Yet we contradict ourselves in turning a blind eye, no a blind mind, to the chaos and idolize the golden road that is slated with tears, blood, and lies. We only see the miracles in mega million lottery tickets and forget they miracle in a smile or just the simple ability to wake up every morning.
Why is this though? Have we as a generation, as a species forgotten ourselves? Have we forgotten love, better yet emotions itself? We have a thousand different ways to express ourselves yet expression seems to be stagnant often times frowned upon. Have we been hurt that bad that we just don’t care or can’t care anymore? There is no one answer, but like many theories or questions there are many variables and answers. It’s not scientific nor philosophic, neither human nor transcendent. It is a combination of many many things and for lack of a better phrase, “it sucks”.
