When people say they tolerate people. “oh I tolerate black people” or “I tolerate gay people”. When some people say they are tolerant they’re revered as some holy transcendent enlightened bein. However, when those in the minority say they tolerate someone of the majority, we’re hypocritical. I don’t think anyone should tolerate anyone. If you don’t like me or who I am, so be it. You don’t have to pretend to like me. But do not get in the way of my pursuit of happiness. Quite frankly, as a fellow human being, I’m tolerating a lot of you morons. I’m not “tolerating” you because of you skin color or sexual orientation but rather because you’re ignorant. Which brings me to my last statement, being tolerant of someone is not an excuse to be ignorant and uneducated. Maybe if you educated yourself and submerged yourself into another culture ie. the one you’re “tolerating”, perhaps you won’t tolerate them but understand and like them. You made learn your culture, how about you try to learn mine. This is not your country, you don’t hold supremacy, this is a nation built on a multitudes of colors and hands and backgrounds.
